Volunteer Opportunities
The 2011-2012 Leadership North Houston Alumni Association Community Projects Committee is excited to offer all alumni a monthly list of various volunteer opportunities which LNH sponsor organizations and non-profits are hosting right in your community.
Listed below are opportunities to serve, donate and/or participate in November. Watch for future communication regarding other area events to attend or ongoing volunteer opportunities.
Event: Northwest Harris County Relay for Life - Team Captain meeting
Date: November 17, 2011
Location: Neal's Restaurant, 4750 FM 2920, Spring, TX
Time: 6:30
Notes: This American Cancer Society Relay for Life event is actually May 11-12, 2012, however volunteer now to be a team captain. Walkers will meet at Klein Oak High School for this overnight event held to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and empower individuals and communities to fight back against a disease that takes so much.

Event: Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade

Notes: A volunteer orientation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Tomball Chamber Board Room

Event: Northwest Assistance Ministries Thanksgiving Food Distribution
Date: November 19, 2011
Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Notes: Volunteers are also needed November 13-22, morning and evening shifts available, for food sorting, pantry preparation and food distribution. Sign up and schedule your shift with the holiday coordinator 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
